From the "NEW" server (will be primary for about a month, then will be relegated to secondary everything) a "netsh dhcp show server" indicates TWO DHCPs itself (SERVER-DELL, 192.9.200.2) and the "OLD" server (SERVER, 10.10.1.1). From the "OLD" server (to be removed, Win2k) a "netsh dhcp show server" shows that THIS server only thinks that itself is the DHCP also, it's IP indicated is 10.10.1.1 which is incorrect (it's actually 192.9.200.1). but the situation looks different from every angle. So, I started working here and most stuff is solid, but there are miscellaneous services and features of the system that are simply idiotic: our IP range of 192.9.200.x, our pentience for static IPs, and our very odd proxy that is completely idiotic.Īnyhow, the problem: I can't remove the DHCP from anywhere. However, this last one is bothering me, and it's with regards to the DHCP (which we don't use, I will get into that). I have been migrating a DC out of the system, and have run into a few snags that have been resolved.
